Dr. Jeff Heldt
Beef Technical Services Lead and US Ruminant Innovation Lead, Micronutrients USA LLC
Jeff Heldt was born and raised in Nebraska. Jeff attended the University of Wyoming where he received a B.S. degree in Animal Science. He received a M.S. degree from South Dakota State University in 1995 and a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Kansas State University in 1998. Both advanced degree programs had an emphasis in range cow nutrition and forage utilization. Following college, Jeff served in various Beef Technical Service roles in the livestock feed industry. Jeff also spent some time as a feedlot and ranch manager in Nebraska prior to his current position as Beef Technical Services Lead and US Ruminant Innovation Lead with Micronutrients USA LLC. In this role Jeff leads the Beef Technical Services and Validation Research efforts for the North American beef team. Additionally, he leads all Ruminant Innovation activities for the US. Jeff is a past president of the Nebraska Cattlemen’s Research and Education Foundation and is a member of the Nebraska Cattlemen Scottsbluff Affiliate and past co-chairman for the 2014 Cattlemen’s Ball of Nebraska. Currently, Jeff is on the Nebraska Cattlemen’s Board of Directors. Jeff and his wife Nicole and their three children (James, Clara, and Harrison) reside in Scottsbluff NE.
