Shalene H. McNeill, Ph.D., RD, has 19 years of experience in food, nutrition and agriculture research and public nutrition education. She serves as the Executive Director of Nutrition Science, Health and Wellness for the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association. Her experience in nutrition and animal foods is diverse and her areas of expertise include the role of dietary protein in weight management and optimal health, the contribution of animal source foods to a healthy diet and meat’s function as a nutrient-rich food. Dr. McNeill holds a bachelor’s degree in biomedical science and a doctorate in human nutrition, both from Texas A&M University.
