Jared Decker, Ph.D.

Associate Professor & State Beef Extension Specialist

Jared Decker is an associate professor in the University of Missouri Division of Animal Science and Beef Genetics Extension Specialist. Decker received his B.S. from New Mexico State University, graduating with top honors. He majored in Animal Science with a minor in Biology. He earned his Ph.D. at the University of Missouri in Genetics, with a Ph.D. minor in Statistics. Jared grew up on a small farm in northwest New Mexico where his family raised registered cattle. He now owns a small farm in Missouri.
